Sooo there’s marketing, and then there’s branding.
I just want to let you know the two are not the same. I repeat, they are not the same.
Branding is who you are, while marketing is how you bring awareness to the badass brand you’ve created.
So here are four ways that you can go update and brand your Pinterest as a coach, service provider, content creator, blogger, or podcaster! This way you can make it more branded to your coaching or content creator business and you.
🌻 #1 Change your profile picture to something that speaks to you or your brand.
Make sure it is cohesive, maybe with your Instagram, with your Twitter, your Facebook profile picture so that when people see it, they know it’s you and can recognize your brand. It doesn’t have to be the same photo, but it should give off the same vibe.
🌻 #2 Update your cover collage.
So if you go on Pinterest, you’ll see the people that have cover collages of their pins. It could be of your most recent pins. It could be of your boards. It could be a picture of you or a video of you. I recommend making it either your pins, a video, or a picture of you so that it’s branded and people know it’s you and your content.
🌻 #3 Add cover images to the boards.
Not everybody does this, but you can. And it’s a way to really brand your profile by having cover photos for each of the boards.
Doing this keeps your profile all nice and aesthetically pleasing, so if that’s your thing, adding cover images to your boards is an easy way to brand your profile.
I recommend using 600 x 600 squares. You may have to test it out a few times but once you find the perfect size and template for your brand – be great!
🌻 #4 Create pins that speak to your brand.
People can see those pins and know it’s you, because it has your branding, your colors, your fonts, and all those things that really say “this is this person’s brand”. And you want that.
You need to find a good balance between marketing your product and building a brand that represents you as a whole.
Your product is not your brand, especially on social media platforms.
Only selling your product will get you nowhere because in this day and age, people are nosey and they kind of want to get to know you. 😬 So go out there and really update your Pinterest.
