You&#8217;re here reading my blog questioning if what I&#8217;m saying is true (or you already know it&#8217;s true). \u2063<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But for real: Pinterest is the GOAT (greatest of all time) for online businesses, products, and services. Especially right now. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>If you don\u2019t have a solid strategy in place to help you market on Pinterest, you\u2019ll be missing out on all kinds of sales and clients.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So we are going to talk about some of the tips and strategies that I do to improve my own Pinterest marketing strategy and my client&#8217;s Pinterest marketing strategy. So I hope you got your notebook.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Start with your pin images\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinterest is a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">visual search engine<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. So that means that<\/span><b> your pin images are very important.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, if you are not seeing results like you want from Pinterest, you might want to look at your pin images and see which ones aren&#8217;t performing well and which ones are performing well. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And even if you are pinning other people&#8217;s content, look at their pins that are performing very well, see how their pins look and see how you can make pins based on that template that they&#8217;re using, because it might be all in your pin images.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Also, if you have old content that you have created pin images for, create new pin images for that old concept and put it right back up there because Pinterest <i>loves <\/i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">fresh pin images<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><iframe class=\"giphy-embed is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/7A7iNCHhPpqwaNRgV1\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/brooklynninenine-season-6-episode-3-brooklyn-nine-7A7iNCHhPpqwaNRgV1\">via GIPHY<\/a><\/p>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Create new boards often\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Really reassess when you need to create new boards for your Pinterest.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because you might start off creating a Pinterest with 10 to 15 boards, but as you continue on the platform and as your business grows, you might be changing your niche, or you might be creating more content and you can create more relevant boards for those pieces of content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say, for instance, you are a coach and you originally had boards around your freebie offer, around your course offers, around your different webinars and your boards really touch on those things, but then you create a podcast. Now you can create boards that are based around the topics on your podcast.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>So make sure that you<\/strong> <\/span><b>always create new boards that are relevan<\/b><strong>t<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0that you can pin your content to.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And to add onto that, also really look at your current content and think, okay, what boards do I <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have around my current content that I can create that will speak to my ideal audience?<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>You want the guidebook plus a checklist on everything you need to do to set your Pinterest up for greatness yourself? Sign up below!<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/p>\r\n<h3 align=\"center\"><b>Use of hashtags<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, if you&#8217;re on Pinterest and you created a pin description and you put 30 hashtags in that pin description, like you do on Instagram, you&#8217;re using Pinterest hashtags incorrectly.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Hashtags on Pinterest are <\/b><b><i>different <\/i><\/b><b>from hashtags on Instagram.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So usually I recommend <\/span><b>no more than five hashtags<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (though really they aren\u2019t necessary so Pinterest said in 2020) on a pin title or a pin description. And those hashtags should be <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">very <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">keyword specific.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So if you are a business coach for spiritual entrepreneurs, s<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">piritual entrepreneur<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> could be a hashtag because that&#8217;s very keyword specific, that type of entrepreneur or it could be <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">business coaching for women<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">business coaching for spiritual entrepreneurs<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Those can be your hashtags that you use, or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">business tips for XYZ<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Do not use 30 hashtags<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<strong> Please don&#8217;t. It&#8217;s not Instagram. It&#8217;s Pinterest. Just remember that. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Treat them differently because they are different.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3 align=\"center\"><iframe class=\"giphy-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/IhmF9OzFjUr258OkBy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/h3>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/hashtag-fact-hashtagfact-IhmF9OzFjUr258OkBy\">via GIPHY<\/a><\/p>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Pinterest 100<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinterest usually releases their top 100 trends, I believe in December for the upcoming year. And it\u2019s based on the top trends to try when it comes to Pinterest. So if you pay attention to this list, you can see what a lot of people might be searching for in the year to come.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So in 2020, I believe <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social media detox<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was ranked very high. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thrifted wedding dresses<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was ranked high. So different trends, it\u2019s 100 of them, I&#8217;m not going to tell you all of them, but you can go on that list and really see what people are researching and searching for.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And then <\/span><b>think of ways that you can incorporate these trends into your Pinterest,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> if it&#8217;s relevant to your content.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Target your audience\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you are creating your Pinterest strategy or revamping your Pinterest strategy, you need to be thinking about your audience.<\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>What are their pain points and what solutions are they searching for that <\/b><b><i>you <\/i><\/b><b>can solve?<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are making sure that you&#8217;re specific about what you&#8217;re putting out there as the solution to their specific problem. The boards you&#8217;re creating, the pins you&#8217;re creating, the copy on the pin images. You need to be thinking about these things so that you&#8217;re attracting the right people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 300+ million people on Pinterest now, you definitely want to attract the right ones because you don&#8217;t want to have people on your email list or listening to your podcast or any of that stuff that&#8217;s not your right audience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>You want <i>your <\/i>people. You always want to be speaking directly to and targeting <i>your <\/i>people.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So those are my tips for improving your Pinterest marketing strategy.
