Three things you need for a successful Pinterest Ad Campaign:
1. A funnel
Somewhere for your pin to go and guide your lead to the end goal. If you want to get email signups from your Pinterest Ad Campaign, then you’re going to need a landing page for the opt-in for cold traffic. And then you want to have an email list that’s going to nurture those people that come from Pinterest. In a sense you will be working backwards to create this funnel. Have the email list ready, have the landing page ready, and then have the beautiful pin that they’re going to click on to get on.
2. Money 🤑
You need to be prepared to spend the money to execute a proper Pinterest Ad campaign. If you’re not really ready to spend money, you’re going to be thinking through every little thing and end up cutting corners. You’re going to end up turning off your ad because it’s not performing after one week, and that’s not how Pinterest works.
3. Patience
Pinterest ads are slower to optimize than other platforms like Instagram or Facebook. Therefore, when you start running a promoted pin, a Pinterest ad, make that first week you run it, a consideration campaign which is a traffic campaign. You DO NOT want to touch it. Let that consideration campaign run before you start doing any tweaking, changing anything around or thinking it’s not working yet. If you’re running a conversion campaign, give it 10 to 14 days before you start making any changes.
And that’s it! Those are three things you’re going to want to make sure you have before running Pinterest Ads. The funnel, the money to play with and spend, and patience because it’s going to take some time. If you have any questions about Pinterest Ads, send me a DM on Instagram!
