Guilt began to creep up inside of me, but I pushed it away just as easily. I wasn’t about to allow anything to fuck up me making her mine.

“Yes,” she grinned, pulling back to give me a kiss. “I’m so glad we decided to do things this way. It took so much pressure off things.”

“I told you that you need to stop allowing your mother to have so much access to your life babe.”

“Marilyn is who she is. There’s no changing her. I don’t even wanna think about how she’s going to react when the news breaks that we’re already married.”

“Like a damn fool, you know that. It ain’t shit she can do about it though cause yo ass is mine.”

“Stop before you mark me up and then I’m gonna be pissed!” she fussed, pushing me away.

“Could y’all be anymore sickening?” Hadleigh joked now that she was finished flirting with the bartender that had her attention for the past ten minutes.

“No, can you stop smiling and shit at strangers before you have my brother out here fighting over you,” I replied, making her roll her eyes.

“See, now you tryna send me on the first thing smoking back home. I’m not messing with that boy. If anything, I’m trying to find me a bomb ass Aruban to bless me with something to go home and brag about.”

“I know that’s right.” Ivory cackled as the two of them high fived.

“Don’t condone that shit,” I popped Iv on her ass. “I’m out here tryna play cupid and you going against the grain.”

“Boy, worry about yourself!” Had said jokingly, sliding off of her stool. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m about to go find something to entertain myself with while y’all love birds have a moment alone. Go make a pretty baby or something.”

“I’m trying but she holding onto the pussy tighter than a Jewish man holds onto a nickel.”

“Eric!” Ivory fussed, punching me in my shoulder as Hadleigh walked off laughing.

“What?” I chuckled, pulling her back into my body. “Am I lying?”

“Why do you always have to be so loud and extra?” Her eyes rolled up to the sky, but I could see a hint of a smile fighting to peek through on her face.

“Because you love my loud and extra ass,” I reminded her, taking possession of her full lips.

“Eric, no!” Ivory’s laugh sounded like music to my ears as she pulled away from me. “Damn, it’s only been two days. You can wait two more.”

“Not with you looking like that,” I argued, gently tugging her arm to pull her back to me. “At least meet me in the bathroom real quick for a quickie.”

“No, boy.” The wide smile on her face was contagious, and I would have done anything possible to keep it there. “Will you please get control of your damn hormones?” Wrapping her arms around my neck, Ivory leaned in to peck my lips softly. 

“That’s easy for you to ask me to do when you don’t know how addicting your ass is.” I bit her chin, shooting one last shot to try and get some pussy. “Well at least let me lick on…”

“Hadleigh!” Ivory screeched, worming her way out of my grip.

“Aight, aight.” I chuckled while keeping her in place. “I’m just playing.”

Her smile fell a little, and I could tell that it was something going on in her head that I didn’t know about.

“Are you sure you’re in this?” she questioned, and I could almost feel the need for her to have my reassurance that this, and she, was what I wanted. “You want to love me and only me forever?”

“Iv, you never have to question where I want to be.” Taking her face in one hand, I made it, so she was unable to move and forced to keep her eyes on me. “You’re my entire heart, my soul, my everything. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life loving, fighting with and making babies with you. I love you and I want you forever, okay?”

Grinning like she just won the lottery, Ivory pecked my lips a couple of times. “Okay, and I love you too. I’m gonna go check on Had.”

“Y’all better behave.”

“We always do.”

“A fuckin lie.” I argued as she pranced off with an extra switch of her hips like she just knew I was watching. I was. “Don’t play with me Iv!” I yelled, adjusting my dick in my shorts. Anxiety shot through me as I thought about how I’d threatened my happily ever after at one point. I’d lucked up and gotten out of the mess that I found myself in, but I wouldn’t be able to rest until I knew that Iv was tied to me and couldn’t ever leave.
